I'll attempt to answear common questions here

What does a resin horse cost? It all depends. It depends on what I pay for the resin itself, how much prep work I had to do on it and how long my paint job took.  I try to earn around $10 an hour for my time.  $10 an hour is a very low rate, but I am a new artist and am trying to make a name for myself.

Do I take commissions? No, and let me tell you why.  I am still very new to the model horse hobby, I am still learning. It takes me a long time to finish a resin and I do not want to make anyone wait. Also, while I am learning I do not need the stress of trying to please someone else.  In the future, I might take a commission here and there, and I do already have a waiting list started. I do not know when or if it will ever happen though.

What is the price of a Bharat?  In the Austin area I charge $850 for a Bharat.  I have done and am willing to do Bharats in other cities as well however there will be an added cost of $1 per mile travle.  If I have to stay over night there will be an added cost depending on how long we will have to stay plus the hotel and overnight housing of the horse.

What is the price of a birthday part? For 15 kids and under and with in 15 miles, the cost is $185.  After 15 miles there is an added charge of $1 per mile.  For more than 15 kids an added charge of $1 per child.

What is the price for cotton candy and do you rent the machine?  Cotton candy is $1 a bag. No I am not willing to rent out the machine for liability reasons.

I only need the horse for one hour, so why isnt it cheaper? You may need the horse only for one hour; however it will take me near all day to make that happen.  First off I do not own property, so I must pay to house my horse, therefore I must drive to her and she is 45 min from where I live.  Then I must bathe her...have you ever tried to get a white horse clean? Bathing her and allowing her to dry can take up to 3 hours and is very hard in the winter.  Then I must decorate her for your event, color hooves, add décor, whatever the event may call for, this could ad another hour.  Then I must clean up myself and get myself in costume. Then I must hook up my trailer (it may need to be cleaned as well) load my horse and drive to your event.  At the event I must finish the decorating, saddle the horse, walk her around letting her get use to the new place before anyone gets on her.  After the event I must load her up, drive back, put everything away, unhook and clean my trailer, and then drive to my home.  So you may need the horse for only an hour but for me it will be a hard all day event.

How long have you been doing this? I have been doing Bharats since 2005 and birthday parties since 2008.

What is a Missouri Foxtrotter and what makes them different? The Missouri Fox Trotter is a breed of gaited horse which is probably most famous for its distinctive and very unique four beat gait known as the fox trot. Missouri Fox Trotters are very versatile horses which can be used for riding or driving and in a wide variety of disciplines.

What is Unicorn's color?  The color is called Cremello. The lovely cremello color is the result of the action of two cream genes on a red (chestnut/sorrel) horse. Where one cream gene on a red produces a Palomino, two of them create the cremello!
